Hi, I see that your bot adds the copyright status to items on Wikidata, e.g. [1]. However it is not complete. The copyright status for USA is missing. Will you do that? It could start with all files from Category:Paintings by Wassily Kandinsky in the Musée national d'art moderne where the license mentions public domain in USA. Composites of Frans Hals pendant paintings

[edit]

Hello Jarekt,

I am admiring a composite, File:Frans Hals - Stephanus Geraerdts and Isabella Coymans - WGA11159.jpg, that was uploaded with your bot and which I assume you made. I would like to include similar composites in two English Wikipedia articles that I plan to write, and I wonder whether you could make and upload such composites—please. They are:

1) File:Frans Hals - Portrait of a Man Holding a Skull.JPG and File:Frans Hals - Portrait of a woman.jpg, with the man on the left

2) File:Frans Hals - Portrait of a woman in an octagonal frame - Stuttgart.jpg and File:Frans Hals - Portrait of a man in an octagonal frame - Stuttgart.jpg, with the woman on the left.

I would be very grateful.

If you cannot do this, perhaps you could let me know and perhaps point me in the direction of somebody who might, if you know someone.

Thank you, and happy new year to you. -- Frans Fowler (talk) 03:08, 5 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

Frans Fowler, I did not created File:Frans Hals - Stephanus Geraerdts and Isabella Coymans - WGA11159.jpg, but I did create other similar files. I use GIMP and the instructions you can find at https://graphicdesign.stackexchange.com/questions/83446/gimp-how-to-combine-two-images-side-by-side ( I use the one by vaudt). Using that approach I created the octagonal frame pair. The other pair already has a good photo:
