The request was declined by administrators. You can see their reason for declining at Commons:Undeletion requests/Current requests#File:AXP.OS-home.png. Geoffroi 20:12, 31 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

You change to Commons:Administrators' noticeboard#52 Images of Ants eating rice

Hello, Geoffroi. I noticed this change you made. When you see a strange category like that on a page where it doesn't seem to belong, it's often because someone was trying to display the category name but forgot the colon. That was the case here, so I put the category back with correct syntax. You can look at the page history to see what I did. Please be aware of this kind of issue when it looks like a category needs to be removed, and correct the syntax instead of removing the category. Thanks! -- Auntof6 (talk) 22:24, 30 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

Will do, thank you. Geoffroi 22:35, 30 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

Successfull file rename, but automatic forward is missing

[edit]

Hello, thanks for renaming Марк Елі Раваж 20230320 222305.jpg to File:Marcus Eli Ravage 1909 (HR).jpg upon my request as uploader, but I think there was a misunderstanding: Actually, I had hoped an automatic forwarding routine to be installed (from the old path to the new one). Now my question is, could you perhaps do this after the fact? Or should we first undo the move? https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Log&logid=388245184 Thanks again for caring! Tartigradesinspace (talk) 08:41, 3 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

The history is moved with the file, so creating a redirect, as you've done, is the same as leaving one in the rename process when moving a new unused file. Geoffroi 19:05, 3 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
Great! I just had not known before that I can create a redirect myself (without administrative rights). I think everything is settled now. Thanks again for the rename! Tartigradesinspace (talk) 19:13, 3 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
My pleasure. Have a nice weekend. Geoffroi 19:17, 3 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
